Abraham, Abrahm, Ibraham
"There is one God looking down on us all. We are all children of one God." (Geronimo)
(Abrahams, Abrahms, Ibrahams) his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him at the age of 175, in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar, facing Mamro, in the field that Abraham had bought from the Hittites.
After his wife Sarah died at the age of 126 (Abraham, Abrahm, Ibraham) married Keturah and had six children associated with Arabia.
It is now about fourteen hundred years after the rise of Muhammad, two thousand years since Christianity began, twenty-five hundred years after the origin of Judaism and four thousand years since the birth of Abraham, Abrahm, Ibraham. The three monotheistic religions have been waiting and planning toward open and equal deliberation. With the state of affairs as is happening in the World today, the three monotheistic religions wonder about a question. Is it possible for the children of Abraham, Abrahm, Ibraham to coexist?
It is my understanding that in March of 2000 Pope John Paul II stuffed a note in the Western Wall in Jerusalem which stated "God of our fathers you chose Abraham and his descendants to bring your name to the nations. We are deeply saddened by the behavior of those who in the course of history have caused these children of yours to suffer. And asking your forgiveness, we wish to commis ourselves to genuine brotherhood with the people of the covenant".
The World is becoming smaller and more interconnected because of international travel, the internet and the Global Economy. We are as a neighborhood with different nationalities, races and religions. Each household in a community has its own identity but lives within the rules and regulations of the area but maintains its own identity or character. There is no feeling to try and influence or change the religious feelings or political beliefs of others ,usually.
I know of a situation in a small town in New Jersey where families from Iraq who would presumably have killed each other because of their religious beliefs are now living in New Jersey in the same neighborhood and their children are going to the same school. If it can happen here why is it not happening in Iraq? It is very obvious, because some people do not want it to happen. They are being ruled by the wishes of man and not the wishes of God.
The majority of the people in the World believe in a Supreme Being and have different names for God, which therefore means that the majority are seeking the same destination, spiritually, but are using different roads to get to Spiritual Peace.
