THE LION
In a far and dark continent.
The air was still and silent
And the scenery was effervescent.
A league away, a league away
Comes running to my site.
Within a flash
From thither to my might.
Pouncing on my body
With my head in his mouth.
Licking, growling and toying
Then flips upside down.
My heart was fibrillating
My skin was dry.
I could not believe its demeanor
And, that I was standing looking down.
