DOUBLE STANDARDS
Why is it that Fidel Castro was never brought up on charges for the way he treated prisoners after his revolution and especially the way he treated the prisoners from the "Bay of Pigs Invasion".
To my knowledge prisoners were kept in the "Ciudad Deportiva" which was the stadium in Havana whereby the prisoners were tried and interrogated for their participation in the Bay of Pigs Invasion. They were humilliated and made fun of as freaks in a circus. All this was shown on public TV. Thereafter while in prison they were also called and awaken periodically about 3:00 A.M. and brought outside and put before a firing squad and were fired upon. This was done repeatedly, to a point that an individual did not know from day to day whether Fidel Castro was going to really kill him or not. The lasting psychological effects from this form of treatment are still present today in some of these men.
I further understand that 29 pilots in eastern Cuba during the revolution were put on trial and found innocent by a Judge Huber Matos. Fidel Castro was infuriated and Sent Raul Castro to retrial the 29 pilots again whereby they were found guilty and executed.
These and there are many more situations which indicate the gross mistreatment of human beings and nothing has ever been done to Fidel Castro for his treatment of these PEOPLE. Why? Why? Why?
