Standfast But Allocate Appropriately

There seems to be talk no matter where a go and in different areas of the state of New Jersey, urban and suburban, about the situation of the amount of money being spent on the overall situation in Iraq.

There are those folks that feel we should bring our troops home and stop spending the money we are spending in Iraq.

Well folks I have alluded to the fact, in a previous article that we ended World WAR II many years ago, and, at present, Germany, Italy and Japan are our biggest and best allies. Therefore do we need, as of 2005, 75,603 troops in Germany, 40,045 in Japan, 10,449 in Italy and 10,331 in the United Kingdom since we are allies. I think we could use some of them on our own ground and let our allies bear the problem of defending themselves. If we are needed we will be there as we have been in the past.

I am sure our allies could take care of themselves. But, the problem in Iraq and Afghanistan and a few other places, I will not mention, will be around for a while and READINESS to confront these place should be in close proximity.

There are those that worry about the cost of the War In Iraq. What about the cost of keeping troops in countries of our allies and not in a combat zone. I believe keeping our troops in the Mideast and Far East is extremely important to maintain stability in the world.
